CRC Sculling Camp offers short-term tuition for those who are unable to make it to our week-long camps, or those who simply want to brush up on their sculling technique. As well, the tuition days provide an ideal opportunity for beginners to start out in the sport of rowing.

Our short-term tuition consists of one and two day sessions beginning at 9:00am with completion around 4:00pm. The sessions are held at Dorney Lake, near Windsor. Dorney Lake is an exciting new rowing facility offering fantastic facilities for sculling and teaching.

A typical day would begin with discussion on the technical aspects of sculling. A short video is shown detailing what we consider to be proper sculling technique. This is followed by an on-water session of approximately 90 minutes in which you will be videotaped for later review. The video review will take place immediately after the session. A second on-water session will be held after lunch which will conclude around 3:30pm with a final wrap-up to finish the day. On the 2 day sessions you will boat 3 outings.

Sessions are limited to a maximum of 3 participants with a minimum of 2 required for any given day. If there are not enough registrants for a particular day, you will be notified and sent a list of alternative dates. All equipment is available at the boating lake.
